Having played bass for over 2O years and loved music for even more, I’m a freelance musician on the London scene. I focus on groove propulsion and listening skills. I’m fretless specialist playing my Wal fretless electric bass, Crafter acoustic bass guitar and NS WAV electric upright alongside any number of fretted instruments.
My heart belongs to Jazz but, ever an eclecticist, I has been found playing Gospel, Balkan music, Klezmer, Bossa Nova, Fusion, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Highlife and almost everything in between. Having been self-taught for most of my career, in the last half-dozen or so years I have sought out the best teachers in London and Los Angeles.
I have developed a recognizable profile on the internet through effective use of the new tools of communication. I advocate musicians make the fullest possible use of blogging and social networking to reach out to and communicate with audiences.
Currently, I play regularly in jazz group LV Project, Balkan acoustic melodicists Luna Kalamata and with a number of singers and other groups. You can find me playing regularly in London and you can use the link at the top of the page to find my current gig schedule.
